Palm Sunday, 1933 , the catechetical class first wore gowns, which were made by the Ladies Auxiliary.


Mid 1940s
, the congregation was out of debt for the first time since the completion of the new building in 1915.

1941 , Friendship Circle established.

October 16, 1947 , the Rev. Henry W. Snyder, Jr., installed as fifth pastor.

1948 , the Altar Guild was organized with Josephine Huber serving as president, aided by Myrtle Berger and Martha Walker.

1950s , a program of renovations totaling more than $100,000 included the following: purchase of a parsonage at the northeast corner of 7th and Market streets; purchase of houses at 504 Third Avenue; purchase and renovation of the Bruch house and lot immediately south of the church, which had earlier belonged to the church; renovations of church and Sunday school building; rebuilding the organ.

1951 , early morning Sunday services replaced the Sunday evening services.

1953 , Young Adults organization established. It brought together young married couples 25-40 and singles for fellowship and certain activities of the church. The Alpha and Omega class is an outgrowth of the Young Adults, which concentrates on timely discussions.
