1992 , infant and toddler program added to Sunday School hour. Appearance of first and second grade classrooms enhanced. 508-510 3rd Ave. rental properties torn down. Remaining Market Street property refinanced for $300,000. New constitution adopted. Nave sound system replaced.1993 , parking lot paved. Rental property renovated. Third, contemporary-style worship service added. 1994 , rental property offered as transitional housing ministry through Turning Point. Membership figures updated. 264 removed from rolls. 1995 , through the Growing Congregations program, members distribute 1,400 door hangers, inviting west Bethlehem community to join Holy Trinity. September 27, 1995 , West Bethlehem Emergency Food bank holds grand opening in church facilities. March 1996 , the nave repainting project was completed and rededication services were held. 1997 , the north side of the roof was replaced. Two worship services were offered: one traditional, one contemporary. The congregation adopted transitional goals that grew out of the final part of the congregational gathering held May 31. 1998 , the congregation adopted Synodical guidelines for an Audit committee. The second contemporary worship service was replaced by an 8 a.m. traditional service. 1999 , the congregation adopted the Instrument of Peace document, which provides written guidelines for congregations to address ideas and greviances with other members in nonthreatening Christian love. September 19, 1999 , a concert-quality Kawai grand piano for the nave was dedicated. April 11, 1999 , the west-side handbell festival was first held at Holy Trinity featuring four handbell choirs.
November 11, 2001 , Jacob Gerger & Sons was awarded a contract to begin approximately $220,000 in organ repairs. 2001 , a fax machine was installed, and the LORD-line (610-865-LORD) offered a regular uplifting message from Pastor Lichner. Air conditioning was installed in nave and education building, along with numerous other capital improvements. May 20, 2001 , the Rev. Dr. F. Thomas Lichner permanently elected as ninth pastor after completing a three-year limited term call. February 2002 , undesignated $266,000 bequest received from the estate of the late Joanne Schlier. June 1, 2002 , Doris Michale hired as Director of Christian Education and Youth Ministry. May 19, 2002, congregation pulled off a surprise party to celebrate pastor Tom's 25-year ordination anniversary. |
